Scarlet Duba, owner of Duba Design, started out as a intern at Pentagram Design in New York City. Her internship led to a senior designer position at Pirtle Design, and artists’ assistant to Woody Pirtle for many years. She established Duba Design, a woman-owned business in Ithaca, NY, and continues to produce original work that is creative, engaging and lively.
In addition to running her business, Duba has served as a Graphic Design judge for various art & design competitions, Duba has been the Adjunct Faculty Graphic Design at SUNY for a number of years and lectured to graduating BFA Graphic Designers at SUNY. Lectured at the Type Directors Club in New York City to inspiring MFA students. Member of AIGA in the New York Chapter. Awards and Competitions: Graphis awards for poster design, CADC Excellence Award for TED MED 2011, created for Alexander Isley Designers Inc. Exhibitor for SUNY New Paltz Design week. Poster Design featured in 50 Years of Choice: 50 posters by 50 women. Work acknowledged in Graphic Art News: 12 Amazing Women Designers worldwide.
